Chrissy's World

I was messing with Wyeth's famous painting, Christina's World. It will have some more conceptual thinking but thought I should post it cuz my posting has been that of a lamewad lately.

Teresa, thanks, I'm glad you like.

Mattias, your line work is way impressive. It's cool that you like my stuff.

Jeanette, I cracked up when I saw "hey lamewad". Yeah, the curly hair was my favorite spin on Wyeth's great work. Other than the fact that I made Christine a little girl, I didn't do enough to get away from straight up copying. It needs more thought even for a lamewad. ;)

This is sweet, LW. Realy nice. I especially really like the semi canted building in the background. A real nice feel to it.

The funny thing about this image, is I have been thinking about this image lately. I am sure you could write a big, fat essay about it. It is a lovely interpretation.

BW, thanks. It was fun to draw it. I knew you could appreciate lamewad art.

benconservato, I learned a lot just by studying Wyeths great painting and then drawing it. I hope you do something with it too. I'd love to see it.

wyeth's original painting is one of my favorites. yet i have to admit, your interpretation really does the painting justice. i love it! you give all your work a quirky feel, with out making it cartoony. that's what i love about this particular drawing.

I love this. I'm a real sucker for black and white drawings. Especially stuff that shows a balance between good technique, representation vs. stylization, etc.

Also, thanks so much for your nice comment on my Keanu caricature.
