My first 2 plushies.

The top one is painted white muslin. The bottom one is straight up material. Both are hand stitched. Can't wait to learn how to use a sewing machine. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would ever say that. The face is 4 buttons and a rusty washer I found on a walk in my neighborhood. I thought the washer was so cool that I went to Home Depot and bought bags of different sizes and put them out in my back yard to rust up. Hot dang I love rust!

your organic experimentations always pull through. These are great. Have you actually used the PLUSHIE program to generate patterns? It's pretty rad.

Hey Bryan, thanks. No I never heard of it. I'll have to check it out. I write you if I can't find it by Google.

Great plushies! I tell you, making plushies is addicting!! Be prepared to dream about threads and buttons, lol.

Hey JJ - I visited you blog and witnessed some kick-butt plushies there. BTW: it will all be more addicting if I can learn how to use a sewing machine. It takes too long doing it by hand.

It does take more time and that can be frustrating when you can already see the finished product in your head....but there is also something about handstitching... it's funky primitive. Thanks for the kick butt compliment, ditto to your illustrations!

Back in college we used to pee on our iron sculptures outside to rust them...but this link might be a bit classier... haha.
