Fairytale Nightmare rendered up version

I promised I would post the most completed version of this doodle to date. And here it is. Who says Jimmy can't keep his word? For detailed views of this, head over to my new site and click on sketchbook 1 and start with image 5.

I really like this amber colored illu... with the subtle shading and highlights...

It's like looking through a honeyjar.

Tasty work, and congratz on your DRAWN appearance, once again.

This is so rich with great characters, it's like richard scary on a sugar high. I like the monster in the back left by the highway.

Daniel - I checked out steamcrow. I liked. I'll be back.

Adam - Cool comments. Yeah. I want to do more with some of the characters that spilled out of my head on this doodle and that monster is up on the list.

hope you dont mind me saying but it reminded me, in a good way, of alex noriega http://alexnoriegasketchblog.blogspot.com/

Some day, you know that day, the day when I hit it big time. I'm hiring you to come ove and draw and paint whatever you want all over an entire room in my house. A whole room with a big huge illustration like this. I'm just warning you up front.

IWS - thanks. I don't have prints available yet but do see that in the future.

Louise - I'll take the Alex comment a a huge compliment. I love his stuff. He is a big time doodler and I certainly love to doodle myself.

Bryan - I'm hoping that on that someday when you hit it big time, I will have hit it too. So I will do it for 1/2 price. For you, it will only be $200,000. I'm just warning you up front. ;)

Wow! I like it!

what is the material? paper? the texture is amazing

jim bradshaw said...

thanks lluis rafols. It is a pencil drawing from my sketchbook. The texture is a scan from the inside cover of a cool old book my wife found at a used book store. It is one of my favorite textures I have, and I have a lot of textures collected. I am a textureholic for sure.
