I love my new Carbon Pen!

The kind people at Jet Pens contacted me and asked if they could send me a free pen. I was like, "sure you can, my new favorite pen people." So most of this Moleskine page was done using the Carbon Pen from Jet Pens. I love how it handled, so you will see this pen used on more pages when I'm not using pencil. Jimmy says, yay to Jet Pens!

It's been awhile. I figured I best post some updated doodle art.

Green Alien Mixed Media

Mixed Media  on 9 3/4" X 7 3/16" Cold Press Illustration Board

This started as a test for a larger painting so I grabbed a piece of already cut illustration board and that explains the odd size. I liked how it was coming out so I kept doodling and filling in the whole thing and next thing you know, I have a finished piece. It's really how I like to work anyway. Just let my brushes and pencils lead the way rather than tightly preplanning the whole thing.

My moleskine has been my only art release for a couple of months now. I'm really missing doing finished pieces and need to get through some crazy schedule stuff and get back in the studio soon. Way too much overtime happening on my full-time job. arrrrrrgh!
