You need to dress in the right suit if you want to make a giant leap for mankind. I know it's contrived but I like IF but don't usually have time to come up with so many illustrations. So you have to take what I give. Okay? This illustration is about 2 or 3 years old with a texture update.
Just a sketch I had around that I did some effect work on. I kinda like the brown pencil on the old book page.

Note: This was thrown together in a rush. It needs a redo someday.
Every Tuesday at SugarFrostedGoodness is PYBOT. We get an email from our fearless leader Jeff who likes to stoke us up with stuff like you see in the cartoon above. PYBOT stands for post your butt off Tuesday. Frankly, my butt is having trouble reattaching as time goes by. I am usually behind (no pun) in my posting of the topics there so this cartoon is for my boy Jeff. BTW: that's his avatar on the tv screen.

We have this ice cream truck guy in Jersey called Weaser. He has a cheap knock-off of the Greatful Dead Weaser guy from the Europe 72 live album, smashing his raindow colored ice cream cone on his head. I don't usually like rip-off art, especially bad rip-off art. But for some reason, I have always liked this one. I guess I'm just easy when it comes to ice cream. Anyway, here's my spin of a cheap knock-off of Weaser.
I included the original Weaser at the top. I would take a picture of the ice cream truck version but I havn't seen it since I moved to South Jersey 7 years ago.

Here's a little something for Illustration Friday's car theme. It's been a long time since doing IF. I miss it but have been too busy.

I'm really getting into the whole world of Mario lately. I love the characters like Toad, Boo, Pirana, Mario, Yoshi, Cheep Cheep, Ba-Bomb, Bowser, etc. Great stuff to mess around with in doodleville.
This started over at SugarFrostedGoodness awhile back. All of a sudden these fat wonder women started showing up and I just couldn't resist. It takes a whole lot of woman to protect the world.

I made up my own fairy tale. Some of the individual pieces in the picture have meaning and show up here and there in other pieces of jim art, kinda like a recurring dream. If you wanted to know the meaning, you would have to search deep in my head. You may not want to do that because you might never get out.
Just a little sketch. I'm thinking about doing a bunch small originals and selling them. Some in color and some b/w. I am getting closer on my site design and a store needs to be part of it. First the main site, then I can build and add on to it. I have so much to do before I can get to that point. Maybe this summer?

Here's my first submission to mailmeart.com. You can also see my contribution for one of the free prizes there.
Here's a little nightmare to brighten up your Monday
Oh snap! The boombox be blastin' out my favorite song.
He started out cuter but after blackening aound the eyes and adding the eyebrows... well, the giggles went south. Maybe it was being poked too many times or maybe he was just having a lumpy dough day.

This is a new illustration I did for a donation prize on the mailmeart.com contest. This contest is pure creative fun, so go to the site and check it out and more importantly get involved. There are lots of sweet prizes to win which art donated by illustrators (many you will recognize) and many of the submissions will be in a big show in England later on. Go there to check out the details. Pretty dang cool, huh?
Update: This print is available on shack29.com so go get it before it gets got.
This totally sweet axe is gonna totally rock my total day, dude.
What can I say? Jimmy likes robots.

Here's one I did for the recent drawergeeks topic. I missed the submission deadline on Friday morning. I was up till 1:00am the night before and just couldn't get it where I wanted it. Maybe I'll do some more on it but for now I will just post it and walk away.
